Q: How quickly can a student pick up this method of learning?

A: Our method is to teach students the high profile information they want to learn using our visual learning techniques. We want our students to walk out of our clinic on the very first day amazed with themselves as to what they have learned and how quickly they have learned it. Ultimately, it will only take the child a few sessions at most to fully understand our learning strategy. Once the concept of the word webs and iconic arrays has been understood, we then shift our focus to the particular subjects in which the student has requested to be tutored.

What is so outstanding about our learning method is that, once the student has adapted to the visual learning techniques, he can then apply the method to every subject he encounters, extending beyond the subjects he has been tutored in. By doing so, the student will not only see improvement in academic long-term learning skills but will also see improvement in personal confidence.

Q: How does grade level affect the icon Learning method?

A: Our visual learning method only varies by grade level regarding the intensity of the subject matter that is taught. A student at a 3rd grade level will be taught our system of word webs and iconic images. From there, the 3rd grader will be introduced to very simple details, primarily top-level pieces of information, for a particular topic. In comparison, the 12th grader will also be taught the system of word webs and iconic images; however, the intensity of the levels of information taught thereafter will be greater. A 3rd grader, for example, may learn the name of each U.S. president in sequential order; a 12th grader will learn the names of the presidents but will also be taught more thorough information about each one (e.g. term period dates, specific wars, economic statuses, etc.).
